By Canton CitizenKathleen A. Fitzwilliam, 64, of Norton, formerly of Canton, passed away peacefully following a long illness on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the home of her sister in Canton.
Born in the Brighton section of Boston on August 19, 1948, she was a loving daughter of the late Leo V. and Dorothy A. (Neal) Fitzwilliam. She had grown up and was educated in Canton and had also attended Northeastern University.
Kathleen was a longtime employee of Minuteman Ford in Foxboro, having worked in the accounting department. She had lived in Norton for the past 16 years and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton. She loved animals and always had a special place in her heart for cats.
She was the cherished sister of Carol and her husband, Michael, Cecelya of Canton. Sister-in-law of Sally Fitzwilliam of Freeland, WA. Survived by her nieces, Elizabeth Carter (Joseph) of Mansfield and Gretchen Wilson (Kenneth) of Bothell, WA; her nephews, Paul Cecelya (Joanna) of Hudson and Steven Cecelya (Lisa) of Bellingham and Ryan Fitzwilliam of Freeland, WA. Also survived by her grandnieces and nephews: Samantha, Aidan and Joshua Carter; Ethan, Madelyn and Jack Cecelya; Jennifer and Thomas Cecelya; Kyle and Kamryn Wilson; and Eric Koerner. Sister of the late Vincent E. Fitzwilliam. Also survived by loved stepdaughters Kelly Warner (Michael) and Kathleen Bibeault.
Her funeral mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, July 19, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will be private.
