By Canton CitizenJoseph M. Krol, 89, of Canton, formerly of Brighton, died peacefully following a brief illness July 12, 2013.
Joseph was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired vice president of sales for Boston Gas where he worked for over 30 years. He was also a master plumber and pipefitter and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
He was the beloved husband of the late Florence (Sullivan) Krol and the late Virginia M. (On) Krol. Loving father of David Krol and his wife, Janet, of Norwood, Joanne Baker and her husband, Brian “Danny,” of Lakeville, Joseph Krol Jr. and his wife, Laureen, of Sandwich, Donna Krol of Canton, Debra Barrett of Wrentham, Denise Renaghan and her husband, Matthew, of Quincy, and Linda McCarthy and her husband, Harold, of Tewksbury. Dear brother of “Kitty” Schettini and her late husband, Frank. Brother of the late Francis “Frenchy” and Joe Mezaros, Marie and Peter Meier, Helen Krol, Frank and Louise Krol, and Steve and Rose Krol. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial in celebration of Joseph’s life was held Tuesday morning in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment with military honors at the Evergreen Cemetery in Brighton.
