Milne, Lydia G.
By Canton CitizenLydia G. Milne, 59, of Newton, passed away suddenly July 11.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School in 1972. She went on to graduate from Bates College in Maine and received her master’s degree in project management from Brandeis University. She formerly worked as a project manager for Computer Science Corp. and various other consulting companies in the Boston area, and most recently she was teaching project management at Brandeis University.
She has lived in Newton since 1978 and was a member of the Congregational Church in Wellesley. Lydia enjoyed sailing, skiing, traveling, spending time with her family, and taking family vacations to Maine.
Loving daughter of the late Gladys L. (Kline) and John G. Milne. Beloved sister of Jeffrey J. and his wife, Joyce, of Franklin, Bruce W. and his wife, Cora, of Two Rivers, AK, and Roger W. and his wife, Kathleen, of Canton. Also survived by five nieces and two nephews.
Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday, July 18, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral service at the United Church of Christ in Canton Friday at 11 a.m. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the United Church of Christ, 1541 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
