Bolster, Marina J.
By Canton CitizenMarina J. (Geib) Bolster, 53, formerly of Canton and Carlisle, PA, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013, after a courageous four-year battle with breast cancer. Marina was surrounded by her beloved family and friends.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, on August 12, 1960, she was the daughter of Marlene (Jacobi) Geib and the late Joachim “Joe” Geib.
Marina worked as a product manager for Schmid, Inc. of Randolph and as an assistant teacher at the Calvary Lutheran Church Preschool in Mechanicsburg, PA. Marina served as family support group leader for her husband’s Army Special Forces unit during numerous deployments. She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Canton, where she assisted with many projects.
In addition to her mother, Marlene, Marina is survived by her husband, Col. (Ret.) Kent R. Bolster, originally from Duxbury; her children, Jessica, Karina and Zachary; and her siblings, Michael J. Geib and his wife, Regina, of Germany, and Michelle J. Geib of Stoughton.
A celebration of Marina’s life will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, at St. James Lutheran Church, 214 York Street in Canton, with Pastor Thomas Dornan presiding.
The Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
