Farrell, Edward O.

Edward O. Farrell, 71, of Canton, passed away September 6 at Norwood Hospital.

Born in Indonesia, he was educated and raised in the Netherlands and came to the United States at the age of 20. He previously lived in Uxbridge and moved to Canton in 2006.

Beloved husband of the late Nancy M. (Smith). Father of Yvonne El-Khoury of Canton, Joyce Flannery and her husband, Brian, of Randolph, and Corey Farrell of Holbrook. Stepfather of Missy, Jamie and Scott Slattery. Brother of Martha Rosen and her husband, Daniel, of Brockton, Iris Farrell of Stoughton, Mabel Clancy of Stoughton, Alveria Yee and her husband, John, of Wrentham, Reginald Farrell of Canton, and the late Charles Farrell. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two nieces and four nephews.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, September 11, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
