Library’s Friends to hold annual book sale
By Canton CitizenThe Friends of the Canton Public Library will once again host their popular annual book sale on Friday evening, October 18, and Saturday, October 19. The book sale features used, recent books for children and adults, DVDs, CDs, and gently used games.
The Friday evening book sale from 5:30 to 8 p.m. is an exclusive special preview event for Friends of the Library only. Members of the public are invited to become a Friend of the Library that evening in order to attend this exclusive event. On Saturday, the book sale is open to all and runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Friends of the Library provide important support for programming, services, and equipment not available through the library’s municipal budget.
For those wishing to make donations, the Friends are still accepting gently used books at the library on Thursdays.
The Friends offer memberships to individuals at $10 per year, to families at $15 per year, and to seniors for $5 per year. Corporate memberships are just $50 per year. The membership year runs from September 1 to August 31, and donors are reminded that contributions to the Friends are tax-deductible.
