Twohig, Helen M.

Helen M. Twohig (McDonough), 75, formerly of Brockton and Plymouth, of Naples, FL, passed away October 19 at her sister’s home surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Dorchester, she graduated from St. Gregory High School. She was the administrator of professional billing at Mass General Hospital for 38 years, retiring in 1985. She loved spending time with her siblings and nieces and nephews.

Beloved wife of William L. Stepmother of William L. Twohig, Jr. of Weymouth. Sister of Edward J. McDonough of Braintree, Betty DiGirolamo and her husband, Rocco, of Canton, Thomas M. McDonough of Scituate, and John L. McDonough and his wife, Mary, of Quincy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, October 23, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, 60 Walnut St., Wellesley, MA 02481.
