Brown, Robert S.
By Canton CitizenRobert S. Brown, 91, of Canton, passed away October 27 at the Life Care Center in Plymouth.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Milton and Duxbury and graduated from Milton High School and Franklin Union. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served as a pilot on several air craft carriers. He worked as an engineer for Smith & Norrington and Stone & Webster for many years before retiring in 2006. He was a member of the American Legion Post #24 in Canton, where he was the baseball manager and the adjutant for 45 years, and a member of the VFW in Stoughton.
Beloved husband of the late Dorothea (Kraus) and Yvette (Lehoullier). Father of Paul Brown and his wife, Sylvia, of VA, Suzanne Babcock and her husband, Bob, of Carver, and Michelle Brown and her partner, Jim Lucas, of PA. Brother of Elizabeth Amery of VA and the late Burton Brown. Grandfather of Jacquelyn and Nicole Babcock and Bobby Brown. Great grandfather of Aria Babcock.
Funeral mass in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton Thursday, October 31, at 10 a.m. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
