Gross, Marjorie B.

Marjorie B. Gross (Barney), of Mashpee, passed away October 23 at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bourne.

Born in South Boston, she previously lived in Medford and Chicago before moving to Mashpee 25 years ago. She worked for the Boston State Hospital as an occupational therapist for many years before retiring. She was an accomplished singer and sang professionally at several night clubs in her younger years. She loved to travel, especially to Florida, and enjoyed spending time at the beach and with her family.

Beloved wife of the late Herbert D. Mother of Susan D. Hanley and her husband, Bill, of South Hadley and FL, Ann E. Clapton and her husband, Colin, of Canton, and John M. Gross and his wife, Laurie, of Haverhill. Sister of the late Elizabeth Klaiman. Aunt of Tobi Levis of Andover. Also survived by her longtime friend John Grady of Mashpee, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Monday, October 28, at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations may be made in her memory to the United Church of Christ, 1541 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
