Retiring librarian will be sorely missed

Dear Editor:

Today circulation librarian Mary Owens is retiring from the Canton Public Library after many years of service to the town. We visit the library quite often and have come to know Mary as a welcoming, loyal and dedicated professional to the citizens of Canton.

Although we are happy that Mary is looking forward to embarking on a new chapter in her life, we will miss her very much. She is immensely knowledgeable, friendly, patient and resourceful. She has been a true asset to the Canton Public Library and we know she will be missed by many patrons.

We wish you the very best as you retire, Mary. We will miss you but will always remember your warm smile and your vast knowledge.
