By Canton CitizenMary C. Shea (Flynn), 86, of Canton, died November 15, 2013, in Caritas Norwood Hospital after a brief illness.
Mary was a retired employee of Boston Gas where she worked in customer service for over 40 years. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club and was an active and devoted parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and travel.
Daughter of the late John and Catherine Flynn. Devoted wife of Stephen Shea of Canton. Loving sister of the late Joseph Flynn. Loving sister-in-law of Ruth Flynn of Mansfield. She is also survived by her nephew Joseph Flynn, nieces Christine Faretra and Rosemary O’Koren, and many other nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, November 19, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Canton Food Pantry, 900 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Arrangements by the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street.
