Neighbors thank DPW for speed signs

Dear Editor:

We would like to publicly thank the Canton DPW for installing an electronic speed sign near the intersection of Hillsview and Randolph streets. Speeding along this section of the road is dangerous due to its density and a curve in the road, which limits visibility. The 25 mph speed limit has been greatly ignored. This endangers the lives of those who live in the area. The Canton Police have done a terrific job of enforcement but can’t succeed without the public’s help and compliance. One veteran officer told us at a community meeting that he could fill a ticket book in an hour along there. This road has been used like the autobahn. Once again, our thanks to all who work hard to maintain our neighborhood and keep it safe.
