Feeney, Paul F.
By Canton CitizenCol. Paul F. Feeney, retired U.S. Army, 93, of Canton, passed away December 31 at the VA Medical Center.
Born and raised in South Boston, he attended Boston Public Schools. Following his graduation from high school, Paul worked for the U.S. Selective Service. He was inducted into the military in 1942, earning many medals, including the American Campaign Medal, Eame Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. Col. Feeney continued serving the United States Army for over 30 years before retiring as deputy director of the Selective Services. Paul went on to work for the U.S. Labor Department investigating union affairs before his retirement in 1985.
Beloved husband of Dorothy J. (Griffin). Loving father of Paul J. of Randolph, Richard M. of Jamaica Plain, and Donald J. of Worcester. Brother of Robert C. and Joseph, both of Squantum, Eleanor Mahoney of Hingham, and the late William, Edward, Leo and Francis Feeney, Marguerite Horrigan, Ruth Sullivan and Dorothy Mulcahy. Also survived by his three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment private and visiting hours omitted.
