Stephen R. Furbush, 39, passed away unexpectedly at home January 12.

furbushBorn and raised in Framingham, he graduated from Framingham High School in 1992. He went on to attend Babson College, where he played on the soccer team, and graduated from Emerson College. He worked as a mortgage processor for Wellesley Bank and previously coached soccer at Framingham High School. He has lived in Canton for the last five years where he was a member St. Gerard Majella Church and the Ponkapoag Civic Association, where he was the two-time champion in the Civic’s Chili Cook-Off competition.

Beloved husband of the late Kristen M. (O’Keefe). Loving father of Kayley and Patrick Furbush. Cherished son of Emily (McNally) and Bob Furbush of Framingham. Brother of Sarah Louria and her husband, Ben, of Queens, NY, and Mark Furbush and his wife, Nicole, of Boston. Son-in-law of John J. and Margaret A. (Rizzitano) O’Keefe of Braintree. Brother-in-law of John O’Keefe of Dorchester and Paul O’Keefe and his wife, Erin, of Weymouth.

Visiting hours in the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday, January 16, from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton Friday, January 17, at 10 a.m. Burial Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
