Whitty, Connie
By Canton CitizenConnie (Wortman) Whitty passed away to eternal rest January 27 in the company of her family.
Connie was a resident of Canton since her marriage to Donald Whitty 62 years ago. She was born in Milton in 1926. After working as a legal secretary in Boston, she began her family. While raising her five children with her husband, she worked at the Massachusetts Hospital School, Canton High School, and the Galvin Middle School. Connie loved her time with her school families. No matter where she went, she never tired of hearing her name called from across the mall or street … Hi Mrs. Whitty. She retired from her last job as a medical billing secretary when she was 80 years old.
Connie is survived by her husband, Donald E. Whitty, and her five children, Mark Whitty, Colleen Whitty DiSanto, Susan Whitty Kennedy, Paul Whitty, and Maryanne Whitty and their spouses. Connie enjoyed her time with her 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
