Cibotti, Anthony
By Canton CitizenAnthony “Duke” Cibotti, 80, of Canton, formerly of Hyde Park, passed away February 12 at Quincy Hospital.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Boston Latin School and attended Berkley School of Music. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was an accomplished trumpet player and played in the Marine Corps band during the Tournament of Roses Parade. He also played in a local band that played in many venues down on Cape Cod and in the Boston area. He was a self-employed contractor for many years and has lived in Canton for over 30 years.
Beloved father of Anthony P. Cibotti of Boston, Lisa L. Fernandes of Raynham, Rick Cibotti of NH, Michael Cibotti of FL, and the late Nancy Olson. Brother of Patrick Cibotti of Boston, David Cibotti of Braintree, and Victoria Panciocco of Stoughton. Also survived by several grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held Tuesday morning, February 18, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
