By Canton CitizenEdna J. (Warren) Tenney, nearly 99, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Canton, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2014.
She was the beloved daughter of the late James Wilbur Warren and Mary (Carey) Warren, and wife of the late Harold Tenney. Loving sister of the late Gertrude Bowman, Doris Brady, and James Warren. Beloved mother of Carol (Davenport) Koehler and her husband, Milt, of Naples, FL, Edna Lauer and her husband, Paul, of Weeki Wachee, FL, Doris (Friedeborn) Voye and her husband, Dave, of Lakeville, and Steven Tenney of Gibbsboro, NJ. Cherished grandmother of Joyce Davenport, Paul and Barbara Davenport, Paul and Lori Mooney, and Bill and Donna Hamrock, all of Canton, and Bonnie, Debbie, Sharon, Janice, Christina and Jacqui. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Edna was born on March 21, 1915, in Boston and she dedicated her life to raising her four children and truly enjoying every minute with her family. A warm and energetic woman who inspired joy by loving those around her, she finally got the chance to relax and enjoy her life in sunny Florida with her eldest daughter, Carol. She was a devoted member of St Gerard’s Church. She was an avid golfer and belonged to the women’s division at Ponkapoag Golf Course. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
