McKenna, Marion J.
By Canton CitizenMarion J. McKenna (Hunt), 81, of Canton, passed away April 9 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Dorchester, she was raised in Mission Hill and graduated from Mission High. She worked as a secretary for General Electric and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital before retiring. She has lived in Canton for the last 16 years and previously lived in Allston.
Beloved mother of Ellen M. McCarey and her husband, Paul, of Sharon, and John A. McKenna and his wife, Carol, of Sherborn. Grandmother of Jennifer and Kaitlin McCarey and Paige McKenna. Sister of William Hunt and his wife, Betty, of Weymouth, M. Regina Murphy of Wakefield, Claire Hunt of Marblehead, and the late Ann Knapp.
A funeral mass was held Saturday, April 12, in Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Sharon. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115. For guestbook, see www.dockrayandthomasfuneralhome.com.
