By Canton CitizenDr. H. Irving Rapoport, 87, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Canton, entered into rest on May 21, 2014.
Beloved husband of Ricky (Spitzer) Rapoport and the late Eunice Rapoport. Devoted father of Joyce and Bill Habalow, Marcia and Scott Weber, and Alan Rapoport and David McCarthy. Loving brother of Ann Furman and the late Murray Rapoport. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Amy, Jay and Julie. He will be missed by his extended family, including Ricky’s children, Craig and Thea Spitzer, Jeffrey and Joanie Spitzer, and grandson Jonathan.
Before retiring to Florida, Irving practiced optometry in Canton for 50 years. Funeral services were held in Canton on Sunday, May 25, with interment at the Staro Konstantinov Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Temple Torah, 8600 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL 33472, The Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114, or to a hospice of your choice.
