Romano, Ciro

Ciro “Gino” Romano, 76, of Canton, passed away June 2 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

Born and raised in Italy, Gino came to the United States in 1971. He previously lived in Jamaica Plain and has lived in Canton for the last 11 years. He worked as a mechanic for Peter’s Autobody in Jamaica Plain before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Beloved husband of Anna (Mazzella). Loving father of John of Norwood, Cynthia Cree and her husband, James, of Canton, and Maryann Sarfino and her husband, Anthony, of Davenport, FL. Brother of Eva Calisi of Jamaica Plain and Francesca Romano of Italy. Also survived by his five grandchildren, Briana, Jamie, Christina, Antonio and Sofia, and his great-granddaughter Annabella.

Visiting hours in the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, on Friday, June 6, from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass in St. Gerard Majella Church, Canton, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
