Seery, Paul R.
By Canton CitizenPaul R. Seery, 81, of Canton, formerly of Norwood, passed away July 2 at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Norwood on July 12, 1932, the son of Joseph and Mary (Donahue) Seery, he graduated from St. Catherine of Siena School and Norwood High School with the Class of 1950. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Fred T. Berry. Paul worked for W.R. Grace in Canton for over 30 years prior to his retirement in 1998.
Paul was the beloved husband of Teresa (Puliafico) Seery; the loving father of Paul R. Seery, Jr. of Hawaii, Kathleen Seery-Lee of Raynham, Maryanne and her husband, William Dillon, of Abington, Mark Seery and his wife, Joann, of Hawaii, and Jacqueline Peters of California and Richard Peters of Foxboro; and the cherished grandfather of Cassandra, Billy, Bobby, Ryan, and Josh.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 7, at the Gillooly Funeral Home in Norwood, followed by a mass of Christian burial in St. Catherine of Siena Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Paul’s memory to VNA Hospice Care, 100 Trade Center, Woburn, MA 01801.
