Fitzgerald, Daniel M.

Daniel M. Fitzgerald, 36, of Stoughton, formerly of Canton, passed away suddenly August 14 at home.

Born in Norwood, he was raised in Canton and attended Canton High School. He was a proud Marine Corps veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has lived in Stoughton for the last three years and worked for the Town of Hanover Water Department.

Beloved son of Mary E. (Murphy) and Paul A. Fitzgerald of Canton. Father of Briana Fitzgerald of Stoughton. Brother of Maureen Morgan and her husband, Bob, of Stoughton, Paul Fitzgerald and his wife, Amanda, of MO, and Kristen Hooton and her husband, Stuart, of Canton.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday, August 20, in St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial with full military honors at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Canton Veterans Service Department, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021 or to the Stoughton Veterans Service Department, 10 Pearl St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
