Collision leads to fuel spill at Blue Hill Express
A rear-end collision between two cars at the Blue Hill Express gas station on Route 138 caused fuel to spill from the gasoline dispenser and triggered the automatic dispersal of a dry chemical powder to contain the spill. The incident occurred on Friday, August 29, around 7:45 p.m. Two adults and two children complained of breathing difficulties and one party was transported to Norwood Hospital. The gas pumps were closed for a day until the automatic fire suppression system was replenished. Fire Lt. Greg Woodbury said less than 10 gallons of fuel was spilled.
