Agent’s Corner: 9/11 Reflection

By

On September 11, 2001, men and women were going to work — like we are today — but little did they know it would be their last day on earth.

It is quite possible that if there had been a struggle for the controls of one of those airplanes that left Logan Airport that morning, that plane could have come down in Canton. What would we have wanted America and Americans to do if we were the victims that morning?

I’m sure we would want those responsible found and punished. We would want our families to be provided for. We would want our country to remember us — so that our lives meant something and that our deaths were not in vain!

So today we remember our fellow Americans who took the blow instead of us, and we have survived that attack by people who have a hatred and distorted view of America and Americans. We will overcome them, as we have in all other wars — with the spirit of America.

The American spirit is like no other in the world. That spirit was passed down by millions of immigrants who came to these shores so we could enjoy a better life. And when that spirit is tested it makes us stand tall and proud — to do whatever it takes to defeat those who seek to harm us and our way of life!

America stands for good over evil, and we should be proud to be called an American. For America is the most generous nation on earth. An attack on one American is an attack on all Americans, so we honor our fallen Americans and we defeat terrorism by being kind and courteous to every American you meet today and every day. Our upbeat spirit can make a difference in these uncertain times.
