Thompson, Barbara

Barbara Thompson, 85, of Canton, passed away September 28 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Somerville, she was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Hyde Park High School. She has lived in Canton since 1963 and was an active parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Church, where she was a member of the Legion of Mary, Canton Catholic Women’s Club, and served as a Eucharistic minister who gave communion for those confined to their homes. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and loved shopping, the beach, and spending summers at her house in Little Harbor in Wareham …
