Canton’s Gilmore completes O2X Summit Challenge

Matt Gilmore, 16, of Canton, recently competed in the O2X Summit Challenge at Sunday River in Maine. Gilmore finished first in his age group (17 & under) and finished third overall in the men’s black diamond division. The O2X is a mountain obstacle race over natural obstacles — including ravines and open rock faces — with an elevation gain of over 1,200 feet.
