Selectmen, Recreation seek input on new field fees
By Mike BergerThe Canton Recreation Commission, Recreation Director Janet Maguire, and the Board of Selectmen are asking for public input on a proposed new fee schedule for use of town fields that would take effect January 1, 2015. Selectmen are asking for a final recommendation from the Recreation Commission before the board’s next meeting on November 18. One public hearing was held and another will be held before the November 18 meeting.

Camps and clinics: $2 per day per participant.
Canton charitable organizations with proceeds benefiting the town or a town resident: $15 per two-hour block of time.
One-time rentals: Canton residents, $30 per two-hour block of time; Canton businesses and non-Canton charitable organizations, $60 per two-hour block of time; non-Canton residents and private entities, $60 per two-hour block of time. Additional fee of $15 per hour for use of lit fields.
