Born in Brava Island in Cape Verde, he came to the United States in 1949. He worked for Plymouth Rubber in Canton, Uniroyal Chemical in Naugatuck, CT, and A & P Supermarkets before retiring. He lived many years in Naugatuck, CT, and lived in Canton for five years before moving to Cape Cod in 2013 …
