CABI holds annual holiday event
By Canton CitizenGene Manning, president of the Canton Association of Business and Industry, welcomed over 60 CABI members and their guests on December 3 at Brookmeadow Country Club for the association’s annual holiday celebration.
During the event, CABI donation committee chairperson Kristin Draper awarded a $5,000 check to Janet Pratt, chairperson of the Canton Food Pantry. Draper also announced the following donations made by CABI in 2014:
Two scholarships to Canton High School seniors
Two scholarships to Blue Hills Regional Technical seniors
Donation to Mass. Hospital School for a children’s trip to Disney World
Canton Police and Fire Department
Canton Public Library
Clarke School for Hearing and Speech
CHS Garden’s Gate Program
CHS Drug Awareness Program
Saint Vincent de Paul Society
CABI also awarded the 2014 CABI Business Award to the Bank of Canton and the 2014 CABI Business Person Award to Howard Goldman, and sponsored a membership toy donation for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society by retired Canton Fire Chief Tim Ronayne.
Steve Cesso, co-chairperson of the 10th annual Reebok/Canton Road Race, awarded the 2014 5k Corporate Challenge trophy to Jessica Russo on behalf of Reebok.
