Born in Orange, she graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School and Bryant and Stratton Secretarial School in Boston. She retired in 1991 after working for Bay State Gas Co. in the Accounts Payable Department. She previously worked as the secretary for Canton Community Kindergarten and the Canton Public Schools for many years.
