Canton Community Theatre presents spring drama
By Canton CitizenCanton residents Aoife Barrington-Haber and Renee Hanscom are two of the stars in the Canton Community Theatre’s upcoming production of August: Osage County, a high-octane family drama by playwright Tracy Letts.
Performances will take place April 16-18 at 8 p.m. and April 19 at 4 p.m. at the Village Shoppes at Cobb’s Corner, 95 Washington Street (next to the Shoe Dept, across from the Halfway Cafe).
Barrington-Haber is performing the role of Ivy Weston, the middle daughter of Beverly Weston, and Hanscom is performing as Barbara Fordham, the oldest daughter.
Barrington-Haber has a Master of Arts degree in theatre education from Emerson College and has been spotted performing in Boston’s Mystery Cafe, at various renaissance faires, and in Dedham’s Parish Players productions.
Hanscom has been a member of the CCT’s board of directors for the past few years and is currently the organization’s president. She has taken part in countless CCT productions, serving as an actress, assistant producer, director, playwright, and makeup artist. Her recent credits include assistant director/actress for the holiday production of Little Women.
