On Thursday, April 16, students in the BOKS before-school fitness program at St. John the Evangelist School teamed up to run a combined 26.2 miles at the second annual BOKSathon Mini Marathon. Participants ran either half-mile or mile distances while their classmates and teachers cheered them on. The purpose of the event was to honor those who experienced the tragic events of the 2013 Boston Marathon and to give kids a sense of accomplishment when crossing a finish line.
