CCPC to host info night 4/27
By Canton CitizenOn Monday, April 27, the Canton Community Preservation Committee (CCPC) will host a public information night to provide information and answer questions pertaining to the eight projects that the committee has recommended for funding this year. All projects must be voted on at the annual town meeting, which commences on Monday, May 11, in the Canton High School auditorium.
The CCPC information night will begin at 7 p.m. in the Salah Meeting Room at Memorial Hall. CCPC members are eager for Canton residents to learn more about the proposed open space acquisition at the former Plymouth Rubber property that would lay the foundation for a Paul Revere heritage site. They are equally excited about the many historical preservation projects that focus on historical assets in or related to the town’s National Historic District, including restoration/preservation projects at the Canton Corner Cemetery, the David Tilden House, and the First Parish church, which houses the Paul Revere bell.
