On behalf of the staff, priests and parishioners of St. John the Evangelist Parish, and the family of Reverend Michael F. McLellan, sincere gratitude is extended to Fire Chief Charles Doody and the Canton Fire Department, Police Chief Ken Berkowitz and the Canton Police Department, and the emergency room team of Norwood Hospital for their role in the loving and compassionate care given to our beloved pastor in his time of need.

A sincere thank you to Mr. Larry Pushard, funeral director of the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, for the compassion and heartfelt kindness shown to us in a very special way — creating a place in our church for our beloved pastor, Fr. Mike, to lie-in-state. We also wish to acknowledge Reverend Rodney Copp, pastor of St. Gerard’s Catholic Church, and the outpouring of support and kindness extended to us by our interfaith fellowship in the town of Canton and surrounding communities. Condolences, kind words and gestures, cards, and prayers from many others in the local and greater community are warmly remembered and will remain a part of us forever.

With the support of the community, we are comforted and guided through this most difficult and trying time. All of you are kept in our prayers and thoughts, and we are most thankful to remain in yours.
