Born in Boston, he was raised in Canton. Dean graduated from Canton High School in 1978. Beloved son of the late Clarence and Ruth (MacLean). Nephew of Mary Hilchey and George Hilchey, both of Randolph. Dear friend of Bobby and Christine Dadasis and their children Evan, Marisa and Krista, all of Canton, and Vic and Michelle Pozza of Bourne.
