Josephine Sylvester (Giardino), 105, of Canton, passed away September 15 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Dorchester, she graduated from Dorchester High School. She worked as a seamstress in the garment industry in Boston for many years before retiring. She has lived in Canton for over 40 years where she was a member of the Community Club of Canton, the Canton Catholic Women’s Club, St. Catherine of Siena Lodge, and the Daughters of Isabella …
