Former Bulldog wrestling standout and MIAA state champion Quinn Merrigan has reached the 20-win milestone for the second time in two collegiate seasons after another stellar performance for Gettysburg College (PA) at the Centennial Conference Championship.

Competing in the 149-pound class, Merrigan placed second overall at the conference event, winning a major decision before falling in the finals 4-3 to Nathan Twito of Merchant Marine Academy.

The sophomore was one of three Gettysburg wrestlers to reach the championship round, helping the Bullets to a third-place showing — their best conference finish in 16 years. Merrigan was also named to the All-CC Honorable Mention squad and improved his overall season record to 20-6.

Gettysburg finished the regular season at 9-9 and will next compete at the NCAA Division III East Regional hosted by Washington & Lee University on February 27-28. The top three finishers at each weight class will qualify for the NCAA Division III Championship on March 11-12.
