James D. McFatter, 80, of Airmont, New York, passed away March 8 at Cornerstone at Canton surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Port Arthur, TX, he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur and Lamar University, received his master’s from Columbia University, and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
