Canton’s Wolff Sisters present ‘Barn Show for the Bees’
By Canton CitizenThe Wolff Sisters & The Last Calvary want to save the honeybees and want your help! On Saturday, May 21, the talented trio, featuring Canton natives Rebecca, Rachael and Kat Wolff, will perform a “Barn Show for the Bees” with Lula Wiles at 9 Stone Bridge Lane in Milton.
The all-ages show kicks off at 1 p.m. and a portion of all donations will go to the Pollinator Partnership, an organization devoted to the conservation, education, and research of bees and other pollinators.
Honeybees are a keystone species, meaning their extinction would cause mass disruption among ecosystems. As pollinators, honeybees help circulate pollen from plants, thereby keeping up reproduction rates and promoting biodiversity. Unfortunately, the bees have been dying off due to a host of reasons, including colony collapse disorder, pesticides, and disease.
The suggested donation for the upcoming Barn Show for the Bees is $10 per person or $20 per family. Food will be provided at the show, but it will be a BYOB event. Exclusive Wolff Sisters merchandise will also be available for purchase at the show, and a portion of these proceeds will go toward the honeybees as well.
