July 4th Festivities

The town of Canton held its annual July 4th celebration at the Irish Cultural Centre on Monday. The event, sponsored by Canton Parks and Recreation, featured activities for kids, a live concert, and a gala fireworks display. Earlier in the day, the town held its 49th annual July 4th Road Race, which started and finished at the Canton Town Club. Canton’s Louis Raffetto was the overall winner, besting his own course record set in 2014. See the July 7 edition of the Canton Citizen for a complete list of race results.
