Brightview Canton, Brightview Senior Living’s seventh community in Massachusetts, welcomed the community’s first residents on Monday, July 18.

A ribbon cutting — with first depositors Bud and Roz Liftman — officially opened the community.

“It’s an exciting day,” said Executive Director Len Hartwell. “There has been a steady stream of moving vans as residents and families make Brightview Canton their new home.”

“The community is beautiful,” Hartwell added.

With a total of 160 apartment homes for seniors, the community includes Independent Living, dedicated Assisted Living, and a Wellspring Village, a specialized program and environment where people living with dementia and other forms of Alzheimer’s lead full, engaged, meaningful lives.

“In our specially designed Wellspring Village neighborhood, we are able to create joy for residents and their families despite the challenges people living with dementia face,” Hartwell said.

Services offered at Brightview Canton include maintenance, housekeeping and scheduled transportation as well as personalized care from highly trained and energetic associates. Programs, using Brightview’s SPICE Initiative, engage residents in all dimensions of wellness — Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Cultural and Emotional — and are tailored to meet all levels.

“Seniors and their families love this area and are excited to have options in the region,” explained Ed Guy, one of two community sales directors. “While many people are local — from Canton, Sharon and Milton — there are a number of geographic areas represented.”

“Residents can now focus on the important things — time with family and friends, pursuing their passions and having fun,” added fellow community sales director Jodi Tolman. “It won’t be too long until we are completely occupied.”

Brightview Canton is located at 125 Turnpike Street. To learn more, please call Ed or Jodi at 781-298-3407 or visit www.brightviewseniorliving.com.
