Powers, Frank M.
By Canton CitizenFrank M. Powers Jr., 48, of Salem, NH, formerly of Stoughton, passed away August 29.
Born and raised in Stoughton, he was educated in Stoughton schools and was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Technical High School in Easton. Mr. Powers was a resident of New Hampshire for the past 13 years, spending the past eight years in Salem. He worked for IBM in Lexington for over 15 years. Prior to that, he was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 17 in Boston. In his free time, he enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events, riding motorcycles, working out, restoring antique cars, and spending time with his family and his granddaughter.
Son of the late Lorraine T. (Haley) Powers and Frank M. Powers. Husband of Sandra L. (O’Brien) Powers of NH. Father of Brittany P. Powers and Frank M. Powers III, both of Canton, and John B. Powers of NH. Brother of Darlene Donnelly Lee of Lynnfield, Linda Powers-Rodenbush of Marion, Loretta Galanis of Canton, Maureen Powers-Maiocco of NY, and Lorraine Paukner of Stoughton. He was the step-father of James Moore and Kelsey McCarthy. Also survived by his former wife, Jennifer Callery, of Canton, his beloved granddaughter Aaliyah McCabe, 20 nieces and nephews, and seven great nieces and nephews.
Funeral prayers were offered Wednesday in the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the John B. Powers Education Fund, PO Box 93, Stoughton, MA 02072.
