Bradley Estate to hold 2nd annual ‘Concert of Thanks’
By Canton CitizenThe Trustees of Reservations is hosting its second annual “Concert of Thanks” on Sunday, November 20, from 2-4 p.m. in celebration of the Thanksgiving season at the Trustees’ Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate at 2468 Washington Street in Canton.
This year’s concert will feature a classical trio and includes the talented and award-winning pianist Baekyu Kim and cellist Hyun-Ji Kwon.
Dr. Kim, now based in Boston, has performed at Carnegie Hall and internationally in France, Germany, and Korea. He received the honor of “Young Artist” for his piano performances by the Korean Music Journal and the “Special Presentation Award” from the Artists International Competition. He has also performed at the Tanglewood Music Center and at several venues in the Boston area.
Dr. Kwon is currently on the faculty of Boston University’s School of Music and also serves on the faculty of BU’s Tanglewood Institute. She has won numerous prizes and performed at music festivals and concerts across North America and Korea. Dr. Kwon obtained her bachelor’s degree in music from Ehwa Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea, a master’s degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, and a doctoral degree in music from Boston University.
