Vets agent honored as BH Bank Hometown Hero
By Canton CitizenCanton Veterans Agent Tony Andreotti has been named one of 12 Hometown Heroes for 2017 by Blue Hills Bank, a full-service community bank headquartered in Hyde Park.
Andreotti, a lifelong Canton resident who has dedicated the past 15 years to serving and honoring local veterans and their families, is featured in the bank’s fifth annual Hometown Hero calendar, which honors 12 individuals or groups who go “above and beyond to make our community a better place to live and work.”
“Our Hometown Hero calendar is a tribute to the amazing individuals who contribute to the vibrancy of our communities,” noted Blue Hills Bank President and CEO William M. Parent. “It is an honor to recognize these hardworking, selfless individuals each year.”
Out of 39 nominations, a committee of Blue Hills Bank employees and board members selected 11 individuals and one group to honor in the bank’s 2017 calendar. Along with this honor, each hero receives a $1,000 donation from the Blue Hills Bank Charitable Foundation for one of their favorite charities. Calendars are free and are available now at all Blue Hills Bank branches while supplies last.
In addition to Andreotti, recipients of the 2017 Hometown Hero Award include Antoinette Hemphill, Catholic Memorial School, Lai Chan, Officer Darryl Owen, Dr. Jean Bonnet, Scott Batey, Kalsie King, June Cooper, Michelle Williams, Pete Downing, and Kimberly Jones.
With assets of more than $2.3 billion, Blue Hills Bank serves customers in eastern Massachusetts and Nantucket online and through its 18 branches and loan offices. Founded in 1871 as Hyde Park Savings Bank, the bank is celebrating its 145th year in business.
