Leonardi, Gertrude
By Canton CitizenGertrude (Susie Hall) Leonardi, 89, of Marshfield, formerly of Canton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 11, 2017, at Wingate Nursing Home in Kingston.
She was the daughter of Berta Hormann Scsibrany. She grew up in Vienna, Austria, and became a United States citizen on December 3, 1951. Susie was the wife of the late Walter Leonardi and the dear mother of Elizabeth “Libby” Carr and her husband, Kevin, of Duxbury, and grandmother of Kasey Carr and Cody Carr. She also leaves a dear friend, Donna O’Brien, of Marshfield.
Susie worked for many years as a waitress in Canton and Walpole. She then worked in the cafeteria at Instron in Canton where she met the love of her life, Walter …
