Thank you Victor
By Canton CitizenDear Editor:
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Victor Del Vecchio for his many years of exemplary service on behalf of the citizens of Canton.
Our town is in such a better place with respect to finances, quality of life, and so many other parameters due to Mr. Del Vecchio.
Victor’s intelligence, knowledge, determination, and dedication were evident throughout his tenure. For a number of years, his professional responsibilities required that he reside out of state during the work week. He always came back to Canton for selectmen meetings.
His leadership will always be felt on so many issues where his negotiating skills led the way. Two recent examples are the millions of dollars received from the developers of University Station to lessen the impact on our town and his tireless efforts over many years on the Plymouth Rubber eyesore, which when complete, will enhance our town center.
We will miss him as a leading force in town government.
We would also like to thank and commend Bob Burr for his many years of dedicated and valuable service. We wish him well on all his future endeavors.
Our congratulations to Messrs. Connolly and Theodore on their election and look forward to their representation.
Sincerely,
The Edgewise Club: Leo Chausse, Dr. John Crowe, John Dooley, Brewster Gifford, Drew Kemalian, Jack McCarthy, John McSweeney, Paul Schneiders, Dick Shea, Ed Sullivan, Walter Silvia and Wally Spiegel
