Beloved husband of 59 years of Janet M. (Fuller) Arthur, formerly of Attleboro. Loving father of Susan E. DeProspero and her husband, Louis, of Vernon CT, James B. of Lakeville, Steven E. of Canton, Gordon H. and his wife, Kelly, of Canton, and Dana E. and his wife, Gina, of Natick. Loving grandfather of Jake, Brittany, Joseph, Danielle, Lindsey, Jennifer, Louis, Emily, and Brian. Also survived by his brother Harold F. Arthur and his wife, Pauline, of Littleton, his sister Marjorie Lamkin of Wilmington, and many loving nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his sister Beverly French.
John graduated from Milton High School, Class of 1948. He earned his BS in civil engineering from Tufts University and his MS in civil engineering from Northeastern University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War …
