Galvin, Jean M.
By Canton CitizenJean M. Galvin (Becherer), 86, of Canton, passed away at home June 25 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Norwood, she was a lifelong resident of Canton and graduated from Canton High School, Boston University and Stonehill College. She was a teacher in the Brockton Public Schools for many years before retiring. After retirement she worked for the family business, Galvin Insurance in Canton.
Beloved wife of the late John B. Galvin and Richard C. Moakley. Mother of Joseph Galvin and his wife, Cheryl, of Canton, Elizabeth Galvin of Canton, State Representative William C. Galvin and his wife, Paula, of Canton, Catherine Rosbicki and her husband, Stephen, of VA, Patrick M. Galvin and his spouse, Lloyd Sargeant, of AZ, and the late Donaldina Gately and John B. Galvin, Jr. Sister of MaryAnne Norcross of CT and Kathryn Aucoin of Wareham. Godmother of Allison Shaughnessy of New Bedford. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
