Police following leads in home invasion probe

Police reported no arrests as of July 25 but continue to follow different leads in an investigation into a home invasion on Arboretum Way that occurred last Tuesday morning, July 18. Police determined that three suspects, described as three Hispanic males wearing hoodies (two blue and one black), forcibly entered the residence of an elderly man and his wife. The man was pistol whipped and was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening head injuries. The suspects fled the area in a vehicle believed to be a black Chrysler Pacifica. Two of the suspects were observed to be carrying weapons.

Police Chief Ken Berkowitz said police do not believe it was a random attack, noting that the suspects asked specifically for a person’s name. He added that police believe the suspects came from Boston and the CPD is working closely with Boston Police on the investigation. Anyone with additional information should contact Det. Sgt. Paul Gallagher at 781-828-1212 or Boston Police at 617-343-4328.
