Sullivan, Marie E.
By Canton CitizenMarie E. Sullivan (Moore), 89, a lifelong resident of Canton, passed away August 1.
Born in Boston, she grew up in Forest Hills and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. She previously lived in Roslindale and has lived in Canton for 58 years. She worked as a secretary for the Massachusetts Audubon Society, the VNA in Canton, Blue Hills Regional School, and the Canton Public Library. Marie was active with the Canton Meals on Wheels and an active member of St. Gerard Majella Parish in Canton where she was a member of the Altar Guild, church choir, and a CCD teacher.
Beloved wife of the late Leo P., Sr. Mother of Mary C. Merchant and her husband, John, of Canton, Paula M. Jones and her husband, William, of NC, Jean Zahn and her husband, Joseph, of Hull, Patricia Donovan and her husband, Edward, of Onset, Frank M. Sullivan of Canton, and the late Leo P. Sullivan, Jr. Sister and best friend of Frances Donovan of Canton. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton on Thursday, August 24, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours omitted. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.
